The Gokey's have been self employed in the retail business for over 30 years and have been involved in the auction profession for the past 20 years. We specialize in estate disposition and business liquidations and reductions and are now qualified to conduct real estate auctions as we now have our New York State Real Estate licenses. We conduct approx. 40 auctions annually on-site and at our modern auction facility in North Hudson.

We also donate our services for non-profit fund raising events.  In the past we have conducted auctions for Children's Hospitals, Fire Departments, School & Church groups, National Rifle Association, Museums,4-H Groups and other worth while organizations. We have liquidated Motels, Restaurants, Retail Food and Department Stores, Gift Shoppes, Theme Parks, Lumber Yards and more. We have worked with executors and lawyers in the settling of many estates throughout the North Country by conducting on-site estate auctions or transporting to our facility to be included into one of our multi-estate auctions at our auction facility in North Hudson

John Gokey is a graduate of the Florida Auctioneer Academy in Orlando, Florida, and also a licensed Auctioneer in the State of Vermont.  The Gokey's are both members of Ring Masters International (RMI), a professional auction ring mans association. They are also members of the New York State Auctioneers Association, in which John now serves as a board member.  John is also a member of the National Auctioneers Association.

Both the Gokey's have successfully completed required courses and are certified "CAGA" appraisers and members of the Certified Appraisal Guild of America also "CES" Certified Estate Specialist, both courses are in conjunction with the National Auctioneers Association Education Institute. The Gokey's are always working to increase their auction knowledge and skills by regularly attending auction associations seminars and conventions as well as the continuing real estate educational courses.

The Gokey's have raised four children whom are actively involved in the auction business with them today along with several of their grandchildren.  They are both fair and honest, hard working individuals with a great love of working with people in the auction industry and have been doing so for many years and hope to continue doing so for many more.
